It has long been pondered the dilemma of broaching the subject of holidays. They are generationally inspired events that evoke heartfelt goodness and “tradition”. Most if not all of the civilized world follows some sort of a socialized pattern of solemn reflection and or merriment as it relates to an ancient transition from one season to another especially the winter solstice and spring equinox and their modern day equivalent. This has been ongoing through the annuals of history for a very long time. Only the social strictures of the event change from time to time. It comes as no surprise if one studies the origins of these time honored occurrences, another pattern emerges that runs contrary to modern day political correctness and the person who shares this information is considered a social outcast, anti-social, and inherently strange. Most will say: “It doesn’t mean that to me” or “you don’t want to disappoint the kids do you? And besides, everyone does it so it must be OK right?”
Most of our society nowadays is based on “feelings”. This is something that can also be termed social conformity or situational ethics. I’m not going to bore you with all the details of this except to say that when you play the “dialectic dance” trying to convince yourself that all these things can be agreed on by coming to some kind of consensus, then you have missed the point. The point is God’s Word. You only have one way to worship God not two.
Just because pagan practices “morphed” into the veneer of organized Christianity over the years (to say nothing of the overt obviousness of Halloween) does not mitigate the true Christians responsibility to “assume” that the observance of the event would be justified under modern day conditions. Quite to the contrary.
WHAT REALLY MATTERS:
When Jesus as God told Nicodemus (a master and teacher of the law) representing Israel that he had to be “born again” as spiritual Israel; he was stating that the old covenant system of altar sacrifices and works was being replaced by a spiritual “translation” and the inside of where Jesus lives as a called out assembly or church ek-klay-see’-ah (it was never capitalized as a proper noun) that this place resides in each believer. It comes as no surprise that the disciples marveled (in Mark 13:1, Matt 24:1, & Luke 21:5) when they saw the magnificent stones that made up the temple and buildings of their day and never realized that they had the true spiritual Temple standing right in front of them. They were still thinking in the flesh just like Nicodemus..
Replacement theology teaches that the “Church” replaced Israel when in fact Israel was never replaced. It was re-born from the physical to the spiritual. This was the whole point of Jesus stating “ye must be born again”. Israel was never replaced. Never. Read Rom 2:28 & 29. Jesus came to save the “lost sheep of the house of Israel” which in point of fact he did. This is NOT a future event. When he said “it is finished” as he hung on the cross; It IS finished. Either a person is born again as spiritual Israel or they are not..
God will always preserve His remnant (a surviving trace or vestige). Unfortunately, they will not be found in the “traditions of men”, “customs”, or “sacrifices”. They can usually be found in the spiritual wilderness or desert and not part of the conformed world system. They are truly a called out people. A peculiar people.
THE DESERT:
When you are in the desert, you literally fear for your life every day not knowing if tomorrow will come. Your only hope for survival is in the Lord. You will have left “spiritual Egypt” never looking back and praying that God will sustain you throughout the onslaught of trials and tribulations.
THE RESPONSIBILITY:
You will also have a responsibility to warn others of danger. Take for instance the days in which we live. Like a slow motion train wreck, we are faced with a deluge (flood) of dire prognostications. While people say there is nothing they can do about it; invariably, they normally don’t change which exacerbates the condition hence the spiritual paradox.
The irony is – when change does occur (like a flood as spoken of “as in the days of Noah”) will they get into the true spiritual protective ark of Jesus Christ? or, will they say: it’s all how you interpret it..
Will people have the “oil in their lamps” to see (read spiritually see) when it is at the darkest hour? Just like “physical Israel” that was translated into “spiritual Israel” – will a person have the oil in their lamps and be able to see this? Or will they say “no” and dialog to consensus all the while staying in modern day spiritual Egypt.
Ye must be born again. And believe in him (John 3:7 & 3:15). Notice that the born again part comes first. If you say you believe in him and remain in a corporation that is joined at the hip legally with the government; you are not born again as spiritual Israel.
THE EXODUS PART 2:
The Word of God specifically talks about “MYSTERY BABYLON” in Rev 18. Mystery is defined as an “enigma”. An enigma is further quantified as puzzling, not easily understood, or a riddle (e.g. a question or statement requiring thought to answer or understand). It goes without saying that almost 2000 years later; John saw the symbiotic and symbolic relationship between so-called church & state. Obviously, the people entwined in this prophetic picture don’t even know it applies to them (or deny it outright).
THE QUALIFIER:
When God spoke through the Apostle John as stated in Rev 18:4 “saying Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and receive not of her plagues”; there is absolutely no ambiguity here. God said what He meant and, meant what He said.
The ultimate question (yes or no answer) is: will a person be able to leave the pyramidal construct (structure) of Egypt/Babylon with it’s time honored religious component and step out into the desert with the Lord. Ye must be born again (as spiritual Israel).
THE TIMES IN WHICH WE LIVE -
…are singularly timely in that the world’s financial pyramids are collapsing. They were obviously built on sand. All those things that Jesus as God predicted are finally coming to pass in their full manifestation. The Word of God predicted that it eventually would. Even in Jesus’ day he had refuted the relationship between the political: Rome, and the religious: the Sanhedrin. Today, we have the same dynamic (after all these years). Some things never change. You can deny it all you want but, it is what it is.
We are at the final fulfillment of this age. Will you leave Egypt and step out into the spiritual wilderness with the Lord before the pyramid (world system) crashes?
Again - the Lord was telling Nicodemus that he had to leave physical Israel and be born again into spiritual Israel. The first time physical Israel had to leave physical Egypt. Now, spiritual Israel has to leave spiritual Egypt/Babylon.
THE PLAGUES:
The plagues are coming. The Israelites in the original sequence DID NOT get raptured. This time they will again get sealed with the “spiritual blood of the Lamb” and be lead through the wilderness by the Lord. The same tests will apply. The Lord was in their camp originally and they passed “over” from death to life. This will happen again for one final exodus.
You must come out of her per Rev 18:4 as stated: “Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and receive not of her plagues”.
I Corinthians v. 1-4 & v. 11 provide more clarification:
1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
And in the 11th verse:
11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples (a pattern or similitude): and they are written for our admonition (warning), upon whom the ends of the world are come.
The world’s institutions are crumbling right now before your very eyes.
Will you follow God’s clarion call to come out of her? (there is only one right answer) Yes.
Please help me get this message out to as many others as you possibly can.
Thank you and may God bless you in this calling,
Scott Sepanek
